Big Boy! Big Train!
On July 20, 2026, I saw the Union Pacific "Big Boy" 4014 steam through Valley Park on its way from St. Louis to Jefferson City. Camera issues with my large Sony prevented me from taking pictures--my batteries just had to die at that moment! However, L. held my iPhone and captured a 49-second video of the train passing through, so this was my best view of the locomotive as it breathed its way through humid Missouri air that morning:
